Privacy Policy
Last updated June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Protein Sample Kit collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use our website, build a sample kit, place an order, contact us, or report a product concern.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of June 8, 2026.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways, depending on how you use the site.
- Order and checkout information: name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, order selections, order number, payment status, tax information, shipping information, and related transaction details.
- Payment information: payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not intend to receive or store full card numbers. We may receive limited payment, customer, fraud-screening, tax, and transaction information from Stripe.
- Sample selections: your selected samples and quantities. The site also uses browser local storage to remember your kit selections as you shop.
- Communications: emails, complaint details, photos, order numbers, product names, lot or repack dates, refund requests, feedback, and other messages you send us.
- Food-safety and complaint information: if you report an allergy, adverse reaction, illness, safety issue, labeling issue, or recall concern, we collect the information you provide so we can review and respond. Do not send medical records unless we specifically ask for information needed to evaluate a product-safety issue.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, log data, and similar technical information collected by our site, hosting provider, security tools, or service providers.
2. How we use information
We use information for ordinary business, safety, and legal purposes, including to:
- process orders, payments, taxes, fraud checks, shipping, delivery, and refunds;
- pack and fulfill the samples you selected;
- provide customer support and respond to emails, complaints, and product concerns;
- review allergen, adverse reaction, quality, labeling, contamination, or recall issues;
- keep records required for food safety, accounting, tax, legal, and compliance purposes;
- secure, debug, maintain, and improve the site and checkout flow;
- enforce our Terms, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect our rights and users; and
- send transactional messages about orders, complaints, recalls, refunds, or policy changes.
3. How we disclose information
We disclose information when needed to run the business, fulfill orders, and comply with law.
- Payment and checkout providers: including Stripe for payment processing, tax calculation, fraud screening, customer records, and hosted checkout.
- Shipping and fulfillment providers: including carriers, label providers, packaging vendors, contractors, and kitchen or fulfillment partners involved in packing or shipping orders.
- Technology providers: hosting, security, infrastructure, email, debugging, storage, and similar vendors.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, insurers, claims handlers, and auditors.
- Regulators, law enforcement, and safety parties: when required by law or when we believe disclosure is needed for a product-safety, allergen, adverse reaction, recall, fraud, security, or legal issue.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
4. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
The site uses browser local storage to remember your sample-kit selections. Stripe and other service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for checkout, fraud prevention, security, payment processing, and site operation.
You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings. If you do, your sampler selections may reset and checkout or site features may not work as expected.
5. Sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not intend to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we add advertising or analytics tools that change this position, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide choices required by applicable law.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including order fulfillment, accounting, tax, legal, product-safety, insurance, complaint, recall, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Complaint, adverse reaction, safety, allergen, recall, and related order records may be kept longer than ordinary customer-service messages because they can be needed to evaluate repeated issues, supplier lots, inventory actions, insurance claims, legal obligations, or regulator inquiries.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You may contact us at proteinsamplekit@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required for legal, tax, accounting, food-safety, complaint, recall, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute purposes.
Depending on where you live and whether a privacy law applies to us, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or opt out of certain processing of your personal information. We will respond to legally required requests and will make reasonable efforts to respond to other privacy requests.
8. California notice
This section is intended as a California notice at collection if California privacy law applies to us. The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or network activity, geolocation inferred from IP address or shipping address, sensory information such as photos you send us, inferences from order activity, and sensitive information if you voluntarily report an adverse reaction, allergy, or health-related complaint.
We use those categories for the purposes described above. We disclose them to the service providers and other parties described above. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not intend to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No website, email account, payment system, or internet transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
11. United States processing
We are based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may be different from those in your location.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date. Changes apply when posted unless the updated policy says otherwise.
